Q. Are there any special requirements for serviced or repaired electrical equipment?

Yes, there are. Any electrical item that has at some point broken down, is at risk of having suffered damage that will compromise its safety, even after it has been repaired and appears to be functioning normally.

Any electrical equipment that has been serviced or repaired which could have effected electrical safety must be inspected, tested and tagged in accordance with the requirements of the Standard, AS/NZS 3760 prior to the equipment being placed back into service. This is notwithstanding that the item may have a current test and tag certificate issued prior to the equipment requiring a repair.
